Bailey had to make a timeline for English class and is presenting it today. Last night she showed me her final draft on her poster board.

I'm going to volunteer in Hannah's 3rd grade classroom today. She asks

"do you have a hot pink mini-skirt to wear so we can look the same?"

Bailey asks me "What are two things that are always on your mind?"

I said "Do I work tomorrow? and What will I make for dinner tonight?"

I was scanning old photos from high school when the kids came in from playing outside.

Hannah says "What are you doing?"

I said "Scanning pictures from high school to put on the computer."

Hannah says "Why aren't they already on the computer?"

I said "I didn't have a digital camera in high school."

Hannah says "Why, were you poor?"

I said "No, it wasn't invented yet."

Bailey says "Jill grew up in the olden days."

Tonight at dinner we were debating if pineapple grows in a tree or in the ground.

Hannah says "Jill would know, she plays farmville."

While Bailey was doing homework she asked:

"When they say volcanos are made up of lava, ash and other materials, do they mean fish?"

I said "No, not fish. Why fish?"

Bailey said "Well they were not real specific on what the other materials were."

I got Hannah new jeans because she grew a little.

Me "Hannah I put new jeans in your room. Try them on when you get dressed and see if they fit."

Hannah comes out of her room "The waist fits but they are too long."

Me "No that is how pants are suppose to fit. Your other pants are getting too short."

So glad my girls are home from spring break! I think they are happy to be back with us too. Bailey promptly jumped in the shower and dressed in a matching outfit to me! Sure did miss them so much.

Jason suggested "Maverick" or "Bruce Willis"

Bailey suggested "Sausage who drinks milk outside of wal-mart." I don't know if this will catch on.

Bailey "If we ever go on this show, dad needs to shave his arm pits."

Me "Why? He'll be wearing a shirt."

Bailey "Yeah but if he jumps up and down and claps his hands they might see his pits."

Me "He isn't going to be wearing a tube top!"

Me "Dad and I went to Ruby Tuesdays for lunch."

Hannah "I thought that was a jewelry store that was only open on Tuesday."

Hannah was studying for a social studies test for Mrs. LoPresto's 2nd grade class. Jason was quizing her off of her study guide.

Jason "What is a family tradition of ours?"

Hannah "I don't know."

Jason "What is something we do as a family every year?"

Hannah "Go to Devils Lake"

Jason "And what do we do at Devils Lake?"

Hannah "Carol drinks her pop and sits in the sun. She watches the kids swim but won't move unless she sees someone who looks like they are drowning."

Bailey's 11th Birthday

Today Bailey turned 11 years old. I can't believe she is getting so big. We celebrated the weekend before her birthday with her friends at the ice skating rink. Today she took hot pink cupcakes to school for her class and after school we went to Red Lobster - her favorite place.
